I always thought Jimbo would have done well here. He knows what it’s like coaching for LSU and recruiting the state

I never saw him as a good fit at Aggy

There’s no difference between coaching A&M and coaching LSU. They recruit the same players. If Saban had gone to A&M instead of Bama they would have 5 to 7 championships.

Jimbo is struggling because he’s not a great coach. He is having fairly good results because he is a fairly good coach. Thank God Kelly fired that bullet before coming to LSU.

Well you thought wrong. He's simply not a good coach. He's had 6+ years in college station and has brought in tons of talented classes. But he's terrible at recruiting and developing quarterbacks and his offense is predictable and unimaginative and his teams tend to lack basic levels of discipline and fundamentals.

He would have been a disaster here.

If we had hired him after saban left then yes. Jimbo was a good coach when CFB was how it was back then.

But he’s never adapted to the new era of the sport and The type of offense that you need in order be successful now. The game has simply just passed him by.

His ancient offense that he still won’t fully give over control of would have been an anchor for him here, same as there.
