Everything in the front of the book is superseded by the back of the book.
The front of the book, Islam was just taking hold and was largely a minority. The back of the book Islam had grown to the dominant religion.

He recited the book to his wife Aisha. I was an SME in all of this shite and read the book in Arabic. I know how and why it was constructed, and have a few theories as well.
There is a lot of ignorance in this thread and that only benefits them. They have rules. We rarely use their rules against them. When we do, we are wildly successful.

If you are referencing the Night Journey, you are correct that it did not come to be associated with Jerusalem until many years after Muhammad's death and after construction of the Dome of the Rock by the Umayyad Caliphate.

It was at least 3 years ago and I can't remember the site. I watch a lot of youtube sites dealing with religion. I'm not interested in dogma and beliefs, but I'm fascinated with history of different religions and how they evolved.

Considering Muhammad took an army of his followers to Medina and conquered it doesn’t really fit the narrative of Jesus’ ministry and teachings, now does it? The Sixth Pillar is always conveniently overlooked by the panderers or explained away as “metaphorical” or “internal” but millions of his followers have used it throughout the centuries. Now, one will argue that the Crusaders or Inquisition claimed they were following Jesus’ teachings but it doesn’t take a New Testament expert to quickly realize that Jesus never endorsed violence on any level. The same cannot be said about Muhammad and the Quran

I've just never even heard the assertion that Muslims redacted violent passages from the Qur'an for translation into English. As I understand their view of the Qur'an, ANY change in would be considered sacrilege, since they consider it to be a word-for-word record dictated to Muhammad by God Himself.
In fact, many of them oppose even TRANSLATING it to language other than Arabic, because any translation inherently changes "the Word of God" as provided to Muhammad.

If you read the last verse of the bible...it warns those who come along and try to add or edit the good book.
