I watched the first season and just assumed Riggins was a senior. He looked 25 and was constantly partying. I start season 2 and realize he was supposed to have been a sophomore. ??

They just bullshitted all their backstories throughout the first season. In the first episode they show Landry driving Matt to school. Landry was apparently a freshman with a car driving to his first day of high school.

Yea they basically de-aged them all a year when they realized the show would be a hit.
Riggins and Lyla being sophomores made no sense at all, shite Riggins was literally drinking beers in bars
