I know Lafayette just voted to ban STRs in any neighborhood zoned RS1 and I believe plan to put strict permitting regulations on other locations. I'm sure lawsuits are incoming and it'll be a while before anything actually changes, lots of people who purchased properties around the Saint Streets with the intention of just STR'ing them are sweating.

The thing is, STRs were already essentially outlawed in the neighborhood deed of the Saints streets, but if you’re operating without anyone bringing it up for 24 months you are “grandfathered” in.
