I think I’ve purchased my last new car.

Same same .

I plan to keep my 10 year old paid off SUV for the rest of my life, unless some Ahole comes along while texting and driving and changes my plan… In the meantime , ive got a company car so i can keep the miles off my paid-off vehicle, and whenever that goes away , i plan to buy a “beater” vehicle to keep the miles off my main ride.. even beaters cost over $10k now, i realize that but at least it beats ever having to finance a vehicle again .

When I enrolled at LaTech Fall ‘82 sister took the opportunity to transfer from UT(ennessee) to then NLU for pharmacy clinicals and needed Dad’s auto transmission car so he used mine while shopping for him another.

Anyway, he was just sitting in the left turn lane at a Memphis light when he heard tires squeal. Next thing he knew he was looking at the car ceiling still strapped in the seat (it broke all 4 mounting bolts) and the car was overall 18” shorter. He got a new one and I got to sit out Summer and Fall to afford a used car working for Holiday Inn worldwide hq.

Never know who’s coming.
