Im a Protestant so I have very little understanding of the catholic faith, but explain how you guys deal with a pope seemingly so anti-faith?

They board a boat across the Med to take a cruise down Da Nile.

Is the pope saying he has no faith in God's ability to maintain the planet, or that God turned everything over to us and we have to fix it?

They become more socialist because the holy father said it was ok

Dunno but I think we have an anti-pope rather than a pope.

The pope is like the president, just because he’s the pope, we don’t have to like him.
I don’t….
I don’t….

Ignore him and carry on about my business

The Church is bigger than any Pope.

I thought the difference between Catholicism and Protestantism was Protestants believe you can talk directly to God but catholics believe you have to go through the papacy? Again, I could just be totally off base here which is why I’m asking

Popes have been social democrats for most of the 20th century. I don’t see it as anti-faith, since there is no part of my faith that says Popes are infallible when on economic theory. There’s nothing anti-Christian when Christian leaders demand society care for the poor and the vulnerable. I disagree with them that the best way to do this is with the use of the government, but I do remember to look the beggar in the eye when he asks me for change. I do remember that he is a child of God and a fellow human being, so morally speaking,I consider myself in agreement with the general thrust of papal encyclicals about the economy. After all, the devil is, as they say, in the details

Conservative Catholics don’t like him, but aren’t very “loud” about it. His “socialist” beliefs aren’t the problem. Helping those less fortunate is a Christian teaching. It’s his beliefs that go against the Catechism that are the the problem.
Many believe the global elites overthrew Benedict and put bergoglio in. CNN celebrating all day that day was telling…

You guys are gonna be pissed when you actually read the bible and realize the entire NT is socialism
Immigration: “But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat."
or maybe even: "Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
or other topics!
Wealth Redistribution: “For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.”
“But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?”
“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”
Strangely, I don't see many MAGA talking points in there

Meh….law and order is part of the Bible too. Stealing is mentioned in a list of 10 bullet points as well….
The middle and lower class of America cannot sustain all those who come across the border. We are all struggling now too while we are taxed to death.
You are oversimplifying a complicated subject and you know it.
Keep sending them to the wealthy neighborhoods some day is the solution. But that still doesn’t solve the tax issue
