Since Randle to Alabama seems to be the consensus on this board now.

My apologies for starting a new Randle thread because I know they are like weeds on this board and you can't get rid of them, but I just want to know the bottom line.

Posters that believe Randle is off to Alabama, can we get the reasons that doesn't include the solid, concrete evidence of "because he is quiet?"

I just want to know what makes you believe that he will go to Alabama. I'm not trying to pump sunshine up everyone's arse, but at the same time I'm not sitting here conceding the fact that he's already lost. To justify my lack of sunshine pumping, I'll say that I think Debose ends up in Florida. Proximity to home and style of offense is what I believe will win him over. It's not like he grew up in Florida's backyard either. I think if Miami lands the other two, the chance of him to land at LSU is greater than what it is now. We'll see what happens there.

So, besides what you guys have read on BOL (lunatics) or the Rivals main board (most of the guys from Bama post on BOL), can anyone give us the reasons why YOU think he's going to Alabama. List the pros and cons of each school (I can't wait for the "because Miles isn't a good HC" excuses.") This is what I love about recruiting. It's all about speculation.

Problem is, the fact that LSU has a down year, everyone speculates that this class is falling apart and praying for JUCO or true freshman QB's to come in and save the day when it's not going to happen. Hence, everyone in the class will eventually change their mind.

Why?

You've just got a case of "sky is falling" syndrome on here right now. LSU had a horrible season by their standards but they have great talent. Put a good defensive coordinator and put less of the game on the QB's head and you'll be right back in business.

Half of the people on here are retarded. It's pretty obvious that some people cheer for their colors (whether p&g, crimson, etc) but don't know the difference between a field goal and a punt.

I'm still not sold on Miles only because he does weird stuff like 63 yarders into the wind. I don't like how Crowton put too much of the game on a young QB this year. However LSU put so many guys into the NFL last year that it takes a year to recover from the hangover. Five stars on rivals don't replace superstars like Dorsey overnight.

I think Randle goes to LSU. I've not seen evidence of anything but I always assume a player will stay at home until I hear otherwise.

Now you know that's too much rational thinking for most on this board to handle.

Seriously man. I feel like I'm in the Twilight Zone with that extremely rational post.

I've supported Miles. I think he's a good, but not great coach. But he needs to get a quality DC. And I don't think Chavis is it.

As for Randle...I don't know. We'll find out soon I would think with the AA game coming up.

Good luck vs UF. Should be an interesting game for someone who doesn't have a horse in it to watch. And cry at the same time watching good defenses.

Whats funny is that most of us on this board know this, but the irrational Rant has spilled over into many living rooms now that we lost 5 games! We haven't had a season like this in a very long time so of course, all of the people with short memories want to fire EVERYONE!

To my surprise, I agree with at least 99% of narwicklu's post and strongly believe that RR will end up at LSU.

My take on RR is that he is painfully shy and does not make friends easily. I think he is very business-like and mature in his approach to recruiting, hence the delay and lack of chatter. In the end, I do not see him going out of state when LSU is an excellent choice and is close to home. If you really think Debose will sign with Florida, you should also believe that Randle will sign with LSU, mostly for the same reasons.

I think RR is smart enough to know that Bama's passing game will be, at best, worse next year and probably much worse. Also, Bradford is almost certainly gone after next year so RR has to look at the entire program, the young QBs, the OC and similar variables and I don't see another team out of state that is so much dramatically and clearly better than LSU that would justify leaving home.

Im disgusted... a bama fan just made the first coherent, rational post by a bammer since my short time reading these boards.

I really loved stereo typing bammers and he's ruining it for me.

As much as I hate to say it....Thanks for the post.

I'm disappointed that none of the guys that have said that Randle was heading to Bama haven't posted in this thread.

I have no clue where he's going and I won't believe anyone unless RR himself says something. Just wait until signing day basically.

You haven't heard from them because they have nothing factual or logic-based to add....

The same thing happened to us with Julio last year. People start to panic because a kid is quiet and doesn't want to make a huge production of his recruitment.

No news is good news becomes...

no news is a sign of impending doom.

No one knows though. Saying RR will go to LSU because it will play out like the JJ situation is just as clueless as saying RR won't go to LSU because it will play out like the JM situtaion. No one knows anything, it's all conjecture.

I've just got a gut feeling at this point that Randle's going to choose Bama.

I haven't said that. That's what I feel will happen because I usually think the home state has the advantage and he's been so quiet.

I'm not saying LSU fans shouldn't worry. Saban is a great recruiter and the USC's of the world want him too. I just think people should wait until they hear something damaging before they start with the panic. People are just going nuts because he hasn't come out and said he bleeds P&G.

how is it reasonable? That was the point of this thread. Your "gut feeling" is not reasonable.

I just don't understand all of the negativity. It's getting ridiculous. As of this minute, Janzen Jackson is committed to LSU. Again, Kenny bell...still committed to LSU. Rueben Randle is keeping any feelings or ideas about his recruitment between himself and his family. He has not made many public statements other than naming his top 5, one of which was eliminated (still haven't heard which one). Nowhere has it been factually said that RR will go to or is leaning to Alabama. Just because LSU lost two more games than many rational people thought they would does not lend support to the fact that LSU's recruiting class is falling apart. It just means that there is a greater opportunity for the studs to come in and contribute right away.
