I wish it would all go back to five classifications. Or, the Catholic League and some big boys leave the LHSAA for good and start their own league.

Neither of those will happen. In the 25 years prior to the split how many state titles did catholic league teams win in the highest classification.

I say this in every LHSAA thread but I would fix the LHSAA by making 5 or 6 divisions, introduce promotion and relegation (when 2 titles in a row move up a division, miss the playoffs 3 years in a row go down a division), legalize all recruiting and let it rip.

They should. Louisiana is too small to have this split. Or if they absolutely insist on a split it should be for lower classifications only - like 2A and below.

Edit: they should actually have a per classification vote where only schools on that classification vote. 5A votes to split or not, 4A votes to split or not, etc. It would keep these tiny schools from voting to decide something for the larger schools
