Paid my wife’s last one Friday, $60k done. Pay your debts.

See this was my view point so I started paying my loans off immediately when I graduated. Paid one off in a lump sum like 10 years ago, and finished paying them off completely 3 years ago. Meanwhile I have friends with $80k+ debt who have been deferring it forever.

I used to think they were the idiots, now I think I’m the idiot. I’d say odds are student debt gets completely cancelled in the next 5-10 years and all my irresponsible friends are going to never have to pay off their bad decisions

Elementary psychology teaches you that you reward behaviors you want repeated, and punish those you don't want repeated. Dogs and kids are largely the same.

So what have we taught a bunch of your a-hole classmates that spent $10k a year of their loans at Fred's? Do it more.
