If the bill is from the hospital, wait about a month or so and check your insurance for resolution of the bill. Hospitals are notorious for making bills available without any adjustment from insurance.

Dealing with this now
Told me before surgery it would be 2500.00 after insurance
Made me pay 1600.00 before surgery
Got my EOB in, my portion was 600.00
Now I’m trying to get my 1k back & it has to move through their accounting dept for approval, could take up to a month before I get my money
