Texas should go if OU loses to Missouri

I have always said you can't win the National Championship without winning your conference, but I think Texas has a crazy scenario.

I'm normally against it too, but in this case I would have no problem, which is why a rule saying non-conference champions can't go to the BCS would be a mistake

So far you are right, you can't win the MNC in the BCS without winning your conference.
Miami 37 v Nebraska 14
LSU 21 v OU 14
Texas would make the Big 12 0-3 in that scenario if they play UF.

I like this HOWEVER...
2001 Miami against SHOULD HAVE BEEN LSU!!
2003 LSU against USC!!!
2008 Texas will give FLA a better game than OU will!!!!

If OU loses, and Texas goes that will be the 3rd time a non Big-12 champ has gone. The first 2 times they proved that they did not belong there. If Texas goes and loses, then it could be a 3 strikes your out deal, and we will see a conf. champ requirement in the future.

LSU didn't get screwed. BUT LSU was the HOTTEST team at the end of the year and would have given Miami A much better game than Oregon or Colorado!!! I was talking A playoff!!

Dude - how many times do I have to tell you - We have a playoff. LSU did not make it in 2001.
