How does any NFL scout not know that George Pickens was a can’t miss prospect?

A second round pick, the 52nd pick overall. Oh, how I wanted the Saints to draft him. When he was healthy at Georgia, he was the best player on the field.

The fact that he was not selected in the draft until the 52nd pick tells me 32 teams did not think he was a can’t miss Prospect.

Because receivers with his measurables seemingly come out every year and completely bust. He wasn’t healthy most of his time at UGA and played in an old style of offense, never putting up numbers.

Because he was a psycho with injury and off the field issues.

Not to mention his draft class was loaded at WR.

Pretty much this.

And, of course, the Falcons had the first pick at WR and went with Drake London.

In 3 years of college football, your can't miss prospect only had 3 100 yard games

He only went that high because of his immense talent. Dudes a head case first and foremost then has an injury history which likely was magnified because he's a head case. I hope he keeps it together just so we can see what he's really got but it's more likely he ends up an afterthought. Fitting he's a Steeler.

Where the frick is this stuff coming from?

There is zero evidence, nor rumor of George Pickens having a drug problem

There is also zero evidence of George Pickens ever having issues off the field. He’s never been arrested or anything like that.

Seriously, where does the MSB get their info? The only thing George Pickens has done in college or the NFL was get suspended for a half his freshman year after fighting a GT player who punched first.

Zero incidents in the last 5 years, but people act like he’s a damn murderer or something.

Because he’s not a can’t miss prospect. He fails at separation and is only capable of half the route tree. Even in the game that Diontae Johnson went down in with the hamstring issue, Pickens was 4th in the pecking order behind Calvin Austin, the corpse that is Allen Robinson, and Freirmuth. Pickens cant get open, he has to be schemed open. Factor that into the lack of college production and he’s a headcase and it’s pretty easy to see why he was drafted right where he was.

He has twice as many yards as any other Steeler

He's not much different than Kadarius Toney as a prospect.

Super talented. Oft injured. and a little crazy.

Pretty easy to see why he was not considered a "cant miss project"

I’m gonna have to side with uga on this one.

I’ve never heard about any issues concerning Pickens.
