Yeah I am not anti Maason Smith. I saw him play well as a freshman. I am anti letting him work his way back at the detriment of the team when we have a backup that is playing well. I also don't think he shouldn't play at all, I just think Jefferson should be getting the starter reps and Smith should be getting the backup reps until he shows some flash.

Smith has played 45% of all defensive snaps.

Jefferson has played 32%.

About 10 more snaps per game. This isn’t an argument about who should play more, but it’s very clear there is a heavy rotation going on to keep everyone fresh. And despite perception, Maason smith is not dominating snaps.
