I mean, there is a reason we distinguish between statutory rape and actual rape. They definitely are not the same things.

In my view, that shouldn't be a statutory rape situation.
Maybe Karl Malone's case shouldn't have been a statutory rape situation either...but it is. That's what it is. Do you really think he would have caught a felony for this in the early 1980s?
