I’m not sure how old KM is but my maternal uncle is 70, my aunt is 58. Their oldest is 44. My mom was raised around Summerfield also. I believe in rural areas, from what I’ve been told, that age gap was pretty common. Aunt and uncle have 5 kids and are still married. Seems gross now, may not have in some areas back then. I’m 50, my aunt was more like an older sister

This is something else people have to realize. This happened around 1982-83. That’s kind of late for something like that, but smaller towns around the south had this sort of stuff happening well into the 60’s pretty regularly. In a small town back then the bigger issue would have been getting pregnant out of wedlock than the age issue.
