Passing through and looking to get a good bite not far off the interstate. Anyone got any recommendations?

Johnson's is really good. So is French press, little off the interstate, but not too far.

Fezzo’s is right off the interstate. They serve gumbo, but I cannot confirm that it is the best off the interstate near Lafayette.

Maybe Uncle T’s.

Too late now, but just wanted to agree that Johnson's is very good, but they stop serving gumbo after Mardi Gras every year, and I'm not sure when they resume in the fall. Best to call them first before making a dedicated trip for that.
