Why not use one of the 0-0-7 Pre emergents?
That way you're gettin potash and weed control for the next season...

This is what I'll be putting down probably this weekend.

This, and as a reminder, one needs to apply a “winterizer” it in the fall while the lawn is in active growth and can update and translocate the nutrient - don’t wait until the lawn is dormant otherwise it’s pretty much a waste of $.

Is it a good time to spot spray VBW with Image in a St. Augustine lawn?

I'm essentially down to patches of two weeds. Buttonweed and Dichondra. Advice on the Dichondra?

I use a 7-0-20. It has just small amount of Nitrogen and good supply of Potash.

Do you have celsius? Still warm enough to work on both.

What Image product? “Image” is a brand name like “Fertilome”. There several + Image herbicides in their product family.

Celsius or MSM Turf, with surfactant added to the spray solution, will so a good job on those 2 weeds now. Fertilome Weed Free Zone also does a good job, but I think it’s still a little to warm to be using it.

I have MSM turf and have used it twice in the past 8 weeks or so.

No affect on the St. Aug.
Some good results on the VBW, but it continues to pop up in other areas.

I’ve used MSM Turf on the Dichondra with surfactant but it hasn’t seemed to phase it. I’ve also tried Spectracide Weed Stop for Lawns to no avail.

I have “Image Kills Nutsedge” which includes VBW on the label.

If anything, frequent cutting has helped more than anything with the dichondra

Dicondria is a beast. Celsius is what I would use.
