In that general area, closest you will get for free is the Ag lot. It is safe, but parking further out can be a bit of a hike after.

Yes, it is safe. You will be walking with about a thousand people right next to you.

Yes

Just stay away from north of campus late late at night and you should be fine although I've parked in not so good areas and paid $10/$20 with no issues and my car was still there when I got back

Go on the Ticket Exchange board on this site and find someone selling a parking pass. I’ve bought and sold tickets and parking passes on here many many times with no issues

Yeah, I use to always walk home to my place right on LSU Ave off Stanford. I never ran into problems once

that route is safe.
Stanford / west lakeshore area is not a bad hike after the game and you will be walking much faster than those that had parking passes stuck in close to the stadium traffic.
Just be aware of contraflow leaving after the game. (assuming you trying to get back to I-10)
you could even take stanford to highland and park anywhere you might see there, and then take highland to lee drive contraflow after game.

google directions LSU ag center.

referring to the free open parking lots there if you take Stanford>W Lakeshore>East Parker.
arrive early and will have spaces available.

I’m planning heading on football way up Stanford right up to where it crosses Perkins…is there maybe a bar I can stop at and Uber from along that route (assuming Uber near stadium will be a nightmare) ?

The Chimes
Walk-Ons.

You could find parking near walk ons too and still have the same distance walk to get back to Stanford/Ag/W Lakeshore

That's the general area where I park. Other than seeing some drunken tailgaters that didn't make it into the stadium, you shouldn't have any problems at all.

Traffic on Stanford Avenue headed west (toward LSU) is completely stopped after the game by police at the light by the small park next to the lake. This is in the 900 block of Stanford across from the Crescent Condos. An Uber would not be able to access that route after the game as traffic backs up significantly for some time. As everyone has said, it’s very safe as many are walking along Stanford headed toward the residential neighborhoods.

Parking on the street in one of the close neighborhoods off Stanford could be an option. It’s about a mile and a half to that park I referenced.
