I don't even listen to that station. The same team returned a year after the Stanley Cup. They fell flat on their face in the bubble. Change was needed. Armstrong made some bad moves, but he didn't "tear apart a Stanley Cup team for no reason". Every Stanley Cup team has turnover. It wouldn't matter if Pietrangelo was resigned or not. Other players would have still regressed or retired. And he wanted some bonus structure that would have mandated he get paid whether there was another work stoppage or not. If he wanted to return bad enough, he would have. Move on.

Stop the bullshite. Any other team could have traded for O'Reilly. No one else wanted him. You think Maroon is the only player to take less to come back home? Get real. It happens every year. That's not "luck". Any idiot with a functioning brain knew that team was built to win.

There's help on the way. Snuggerud posted another stellar season on Minnesota's top line without Cooley and Knies. Dvorsky racked up 40 goals in the OHL. Find something else to bitch about.

Nashville stays hot, rallying from 3 down in the 3rd to beat the Golden Knights 5-4 in OT.
