I think the most frustrating thing is that LWF just told every angler in the state we should not target Bull Redfish, we need to get the breeding stock numbers up.

When I asked them for a comment on the pictures and pointed out that the breeding stock is dead on a beach they sent me the rules and studies that say they can have between 1%and 5% bycatch.

So willing to increase regulation on recreational anglers but don’t lift a finger on the industrial fishing.

Well as a recreational angler, how many politicians have you greased today? Probably not many. You'll get shite on and you'll like it or you'll go fish somewhere else.

I understand your frustration but the reality is LDWF is bound by the laws that congress passes. We have to get congress to act if we want to see actually fair treatment of this issue.
