Well I missed that. What I saw was an obvious facemask on the return and originally thought that was what the flag was thrown for which would have put Chalmette at the 20-25 with almost 30 seconds left. It was a good game though. Chalmette killed themselves with the kickoff blunder in the first half and the penalties.

Sure was.

Not sure why Chalmette got away from the run when they got into the red zone before the interception.

Hell, they were averaging 5 yards on that quarterback sneak.

I have no issue with the roughing the punter. Again stupid because he was nowhere near a block.

The ref absolutely missed the face mask on the punt return but it would not have mattered.

But the bigger issue I have is this. In Louisiana 5A football, we should not have 5 man crews. The game at that level is too advanced and too fast. There are way too many missed penalties.

I understand it’s because we have an officiating shortage.

If this is how it’s going to be, I think we need to, as a region, consider more Thursday night games. Make each team that doesn’t share a stadium have one home game on a Thursday. Something to try to get back to 7 man crews.

My stepson said HC was playing dirty the whole game. He said they stomped his throwing hand several times, punching in the pile. HC didn’t have anything calls go against them hardly
