The vast majority are.
But you have to realize, with a 4.5 million alumni and fan base, and at least 125,000 on campus on fall Saturdays, you can't make a blanket statement like 'are LSU fans friendly.' Most are. A miniscule % are not.
With that many people who all come from vastly different backgrounds, areas, families, locations, ages, etc. - you are bound to encounter a few 'overzealous a-holes.'
IGNORE THEM. They don't represent the overwhelming vast majority of Tiger fans.
You are more likely to see canopies, tailgates, and tents of all colors - reds and golds and whites and purples - all intermingled on campus with visitors partying with locals
1. Yes. When you encounter a screeching Tiger, smile good-naturedly and walk away.
2. Sounds like a plan.
3. The PMAC has a few food trucks outside, but there's also the TAF Pregame inside the PMAC that has nice dinners prepared for sale inside. I'm sure they'll let you in.
4. The frats usually hang around in the middle of the Parade Grounds.
The students wait outside of the Northwest corner - facing Mike's Habitat.
5. You may not need to do that if you are wandering tailgaters - you'll usually be given drinks and food everywhere if you're friendly - especially if you ask 'saaaaaay what is that you're cooking there??' :) lol
