My wife and I stayed at sandals in Antigua. We loved sandals and Antigua. We want to go back to the Caribbean for our anniversary. We are leaning towards sandals but we open to another resort and locations. We definitely want to do all inclusive in the Caribbean. We are looking to go at the end of the May. What do ya'll recommend?

DR has the best resorts. St. Kitts and St. Lucia are the most similar to Antigua. Aruba and Curacao are more desert-like, but have great beaches and snorkeling. The Virgin Islands offer multiple options on both the American and British sides. Puerto Rico is a large island offering a large cosmopolitan city as a jumping off point to beaches and jungle. Belize has amazing beaches, scuba & snorkel in addition to awesome Mayan ruin sites.

Sandals resorts are overpriced and over rated . You’ll enjoy excellence and secrets resort for half the price . You get more bang for your buck . They have them in Mexico,Dominican republic, Jamaica and a couple other islands . Now best Caribbean destinations would be Bahamas or Turks . Best water and beaches for sure .

Agreed. We've been to a few Sandals and they were ok (although the beach for the Sandals in Exuma was spectacular). We recently went to Excellence Playa Mujeres and it blew Sandals away for like half the price. Comparison wasn't even close. The actual resort, food, drinks, etc. absolutely night and day compared to any of the Sandals we went to.

If you have to do an all-inclusive I'd recommend looking at Providenciales, Turks & Caicos. There are a lot of high end resorts there and the beach and water are spectacular. There's also a very good dining scene but if you stay at an AI you probably won't experience that.
