Not sure if his impeachment is a good thing or a bad thing. The fact that McCarthy is doing it now makes me think there is a deep state plan. Although, Joe being impeached means that neither candidate can harp on the fact that the other has been impeached while not being impeached themselves.

People like Gaetz and Boebert are just the GOP version of the Squad. Politicians that have accomplished nothing of substance since they've been in D.C.

Well, I want both of them to be successful under an America First umbrella. But I don’t understand Gaetz’s angle here. I’m leaning towards his underlying intent being to publicly provide cover for the questions that may arise back home from constituents like “What have you done to use the powers available under your office to prod those things along?” Perhaps this might cut that uneasy predicament off at the pass. All the while McCarthy was aware of the strategy and signaled his understanding to Gaetz, thus they’re actually coo de la. I believe that’s a scenario that plays out quite often throughout D.C.
Otherwise, should the strife be very real, take Gaetz’s words about certain votes not having occurred…..well, when McCarthy is aware that a certain piss ant element of the Republican majority that is anything but guaranteed aye votes. In other words, isn’t it actually responsible and prudent of the House Speaker to at least temporarily avoid calling a vote that under present circumstances would be a guaranteed failure and embarrassment? That just seems to be the clear case at the moment. Surely Gaetz wouldn’t want to be at the center of an embarrassing failure like that.
