Played maybe 30 minutes of it back in the day and forgot about it.

This video reminded me of it:

Rockstar Games BUSTED selling cracked versions of their own games...

Apparently, Rockstar used a "no-disc" crack for their games on Steam so they could be played without a disc being in a disc drive. the crack they used was developed by "Razor 1911" and "Myth" pre-2010. Reason for this is due to Microsoft updating Windows 10 stopped supporting the old DRM methods.

Since games like Max Payne and Manhunt were released before the days of Steam, Rockstar would have to develop a new .exe for the game to run without the DRM or go the cheap route and include cracks from the 2000s. They chose the latter.

I really liked it. It doesnt have that neo noir theme, story, and atmosphere that the first two had (which I missed) but I thought the shooting mechanics, the character movement, the level design..pretty much everything was superior to the first two. Of course it was made 10 years later so a lot of that is expected.

Solid game. Elite gunplay and mechanics. It pales in comparison to the first 2 from a storytelling perspective though. It tries so hard to emulate that hard-boiled noir style, but falls on its face and almost comes off as parody. Really fun to play though

Max Payne 3 was an awesome game. Gameplay was on point. Hilarious quotes all in the game.

I really liked Max Payne 3.

It was like if the film Man on Fire collided with a liquor store.

Storytelling blows, but the mechanics were awesome. Just straight up ripped off Man On Fire.

Yeah we won’t see it for another 2-3 years, they’re still in early production with now much time they spent on Control and AW2
