Look, you've not asserted a position on those seven points raised in the OP, but the simple fact is that most of what he said is DIRECTLY contrary to the evidence.

Fabricating bullshite stories about unpopular politicians is the modus operandi for a lot of posters here, and I don't see YOU stepping up and telling YOUR "fellow travelers" to ditch the lies. Most of those politicians give plenty of REAL reasons to dislike them, so I have always found the fabrications to be childish.

This is an accurate statement - but I can provide a little context.

I don't waste time responding to 9/10 of the bullshite from the democrat side - other than to just post an emoji or something very brief and insulting = and only then for egregious oversteps.

Plus, I have formed my own opinions about most members here who I regard highly enough to construct a thoughtful response. You are one of those. And I have quite a few other who mostly share my principles. Sometimes I see one of them cross a line and I try to to that out - and I hope they do the same for me. None of us are perfect.

Now, as for you - you are currently the bet the left side of the aisle has to offer here. In tenure here, I have had dozens of #1s - and each of them has been discarded to be replaced by a newcomer.

I love people pointing out my mistakes - my entire life has been devoted to 'getting it right' - I do not want to die with the belief that I am taking a lie to my grave with me - that surely one of my kids or grandkids or greatgrands will surely come across.

I had a feeling that you have the same conscience - but if it bothers you, I'll stop. My only conflict with you is that you are a dedicated apologist (from a lawyer's framework) for one side only. I openly admit to being solidly on one side. But I try to make sure that 'my side' is not trying to pull the wool over my eyes.

That is true - but I am open to any description of people who I already have low opinions of based on myriad's of other crap that I am positive of. I have had my suspicions about Barack/Michelle's relationship, but I have never wading into that cesspool because I just don't know. I damn sure won't jump in to defend him against anything that I think fits my boundaries of his demonstrated behaviors across a number of qualities.

And really, I don't give a shite, if he were honest about it. However, if he is 'found out' to have been dishonest, I'd sure as hell lower my barriers for thinking even more poorly of him.

I would welcome a serious discussion about any particular item you think I may be totally wrong about.
