It was really a mixed bag on opinions.

Does anyone think the loss to FSU hurt in LSU in recruiting?
I say no. Some I talked to today said it had some negative impact.

What do you guys think?

no
whoever thinks recruits minds change on game by game basis win or lose doesn't follow recruiting

That's what I said. Then they tried to argue that 17 and 18 kids change their mind on a whim.

I'm not sure about that CU won and they starting to get alot of recruits setting up visits. I think recruits kinda wanted to see how they played. I don't think it affects every recruit decision and every team situation might be different. Honestly don't think the FSU lost hurt them on any recruits. I believe most them look at like is the offense moving the ball is it more run than pass. Also do I fit the defensive scheme they run.

It’s so hard to say, but if you’re going to bag on Billy Napier for sucking in game one, then you can properly bag on us for losing to Florida State twice in a row. This is how narratives get built, and other teams will negative recruit against it. “Brian Kelly cannot win opening games.”

I still believe that Brian can turn this around.

In Dietzel’s era, and McClendon, LSU was notorious for starting slow and blasting opponents down-the-stretch.

I'm not sure a single game will turn many recruits, but they certainly will begin to take note of the trajectory of a program. Some kids are going where they're going, and not much will away them once they've formed relationships and become comfortable with a school. But others aren't eager to jump aboard a ship they feel is sinking. It's such an individual thing, but there's a reason Alabama, Ohio State and Georgia are always near the top in recruiting, and it was true before NIL

It want effect LSU negatively, as much as it would effect Fla. St. in a positive manner.

It hurts Sunbelt Billy & Money Man Mario worst than LSU, they are now the sht in Florida. Norvell is and has a very good program that those 2 resident coaches can’t hold back. Recruiting in the sunshine state just got more difficult for these two. LSU on the other hand has the whole year to put it behind them and move on.

Napier also went 6-7 last year despite having the #4 overall pick at QB

Not apples to apples in the slightest

Sun Belt Billy finished 6-7 last year and just lost to Utah.

They are currently ranked 3rd in this recruiting class.

Billy's class can fall apart quickly this season if they continue to look as bad as they did against Utah and Billy's seat catches fire. Recruits will have to think about his future there.

Y’all frickers need to make up your mind. One minutes it’s about NIL, next minute it’s about game performance. If it’s about NIL, a recruit doesn’t give a shite about the FSU game
