House's reliance on zone coverage

Been listening to some of the talking heads trying to explain why we weren't seeing some of the younger DB's, namely Stamps, Welch, and Harris. One of the theories is that "those guys aren't familiar with zone schemes, particularly Harris". I seem to remember we were very zone-reliant last year as well.

Is this a byproduct of our lack of depth/talent? Or is this just what House prefers?

Either way, it's evident we're leaving more physically gifted guys on the bench in favor of smaller, slower, yet more experienced players.

Really would like to see some fresh blood out there to handle these challenging matchups.
