Good morning.

Since the CFP started back in 2014, not one team has made the Final Four after starting the season 0-1.

Based on this statistic alone, you can stick a fork in our championship aspirations. We’re done. Our boys will be playing in the Outback Bowl. Bookmark this if you want.

That stat will be completely meaningless when the playoff expansion begins

98% of contenders play a cupcake week 1.

I’m talking about here and now. This season. I’m talking about the 2023 LSU football team.

How many CFP teams have started the season against a top 10 opponent?

We’ll have to beat Alabama Georgia, and everybody else on the schedule to get to the playoffs. It’s not going to happen.

We are not CFP ready, neither is our recruiting. Lucky to sniff the top 10 by season's end.

The playoff hopes for LSU ended when they didn’t go for a FG on the first drive on the road in a stadium that was 90/10 opponent fans.

Book it. Should LSU run the table to finish 11-1 they will be in top 4.

I have a hard time believing this will actually happen.

No team with 4 or 5 losses has made it, either.

Not like there’s a long history there. No 2 loss team had ever been to the BCS championship until we did it.

No, but 2014 Ohio State lost by 2 scores at home in week 2 to a Virginia Tech team that would go on to finish 7-6

2014 Ohio State lost to a shitty Virginia Tech team in week 2 and still won the CFP.

Until 2004, no MLB team had ever rebounded from a 3-0 deficit to win a postseason series.

Just because something’s never been done before, do you really believe that will last until the end of time?

I think everyone knows that this team isn't a playoff team this year.
