I know most on here will detest this idea, but I think we need to see what the game is like when Daniels and Nussmeier both embrace being the number one guy.

Yeah, it sounds bad. The old saying is that if you have two QBs, you don’t even have one. But that applies when the quarterbacks both bring similar things to the table. Daniels and Nuss, everyone knows, are quite different players.

It seems like we could use both of them to complement each other. Everyone seems to hate how Daniels can’t throw it 20 to 30 yards downfield.

We know Nuss can.

And we all know what Daniels can do with his legs, and it’s something that Nuss can’t do.

Why not use them accordingly based on the given situation? Some might say it sounds too one-dimensional, but I don’t think it has to be.

I’m sure it’ll never happen. But it does seem like a great time to test it out this Saturday and see if you can learn anything from it. It doesn’t require anything that we don’t already have, except maybe the staff’s ‘want’ to try something a little out of the box

It worked against Purdue. With that being said I don’t think Purdue would’ve beaten Southeastern that day.

you won't find out much with saturday's game. it will be a for real practice game. there is some benefit to that, but you will not get an idea about what you've got.

If a championship becomes out of reach, you start transitioning to Nuss. Two QB to prep for next year.

Grambling or Southern could have beaten them.

Literally 1 more loss and you fully transition to Nuss for the remainder of the year. Period.

This is fricking stupid. If the coaches think Nuss is the better QB, and more importantly, gives us the best chance to win the next football game, you play him immediately, regardless of the record. If they think the QB to do that is Daniels, you play Daniels, regardless of our record.

What exactly are you playing for at that point?

This is JDs last year regardless. If we're pretty much out of the playoff/SECC picture, why wouldn't you start breaking in your QB of the future?

You know what's fricking stupid? Playing a guy that won't be around next year and pissing off the current future QB by letting him sit around while not developing.

Go watch Power Hour LSU on youtube. People will finally understand how much Jayden misses reads and throws in a game.

Would you put your million dollar contract on the line by knowingly not playing the best available QB. I know I wouldnt !!!!!!!!

You're about 99 million short.

And how would you know who the best available QB is if you don't give Nuss a shot?

First off I didnt say how many millions because anybody with a bit of sense knows what Kellys contract is. Secondly, they see Nuss every day in practice so i think they may know just a little bit better than you or me.

For that to really work, each quarterback would have to do what they were not expected to do when they went in

Nuss needs to start and Daniels needs to be used for what he has been providing us and that is a change of pace running threat with an occasional pass, similar to the first play of the game.

Not really. When Nuss is in, he’s running a playbook for a drop back passer. As he normally would

When Daniels is in, he could be a drop back passer, but he could also run with it.

I’m not saying it would be perfect, but neither were the Tigers a few nights ago. Anyway, we lack the cojones to experiment with something like that, and maybe that’s actually a good thing. Maybe it’s not

Well then how bad is Nuss that he hasn't passed up Jayden.

Kelly has been known to pull a qb for the next guy if he's better, this isn't a les Miles deal where he never makes changes. There's obviously something there that the staff doesn't like

Why stop at QB then? Should Speights and Oghoufo be sat down as well? Nabors is gone after this year. Him too?

Why is this the narrative? We may go out and get the best quarterback on the market. He hasn’t been promised shite

educated fan

And sure, if you wanna have a hissy fit and just stop playing all the seniors, that's fine. But I think you know that's not the same as moving on to your future QB instead of riding out a dude that's in his last year of football at any level.

And while I don't think it'll happen, there's the possibility of pissing of Nuss to the point he transfers out. Where would that leave us?
