A QB who cannot pass is a bad QB in today's game.
I hate the fact that I'm having to defend JD here, but he threw for 347 yards against a good FSU defense.

If he was playing outside of the major conferences, he'd probably be dominating. He's a legitimately talented player and he's a playmaker.

All that said, he's got big flaws as a passer, and those flaws hamstring your entire offense. I'd much rather someone who had some downfield ability to open up our offense.

Take away his first pass and the long garbage time TD. He threw for 192 outside of that. Without a WR breaking a short pass for a long TD, he can’t put up big numbers throwing consistently.

Even some of his better throwing games last year, lots of underthrowing deep routes and bad throws altogether.

If LSU had a dominant defense, JD would be fine.

If LSU had a run game, JD would be fine.

But they don't and a downfield passing threat is your only chance to attempt to offset some of those issues.

Daniels isn't bad, his skillset just doesn't work on this team.

He failed to SCORE points. That is all that matters. Just another empty stat upon which BK probably relies when deciding who can play?
