First, Daniel’s is not 100% at fault for the loss last night. But,

4th and goal at the one. Throw it up and give your recover a shot. Worst thing you can do is take a sack.

When you have a couple shots at the endzone before half, and your star is consistently beating his man in coverage you have to make a good throw and give him a shot to catch it.

When a db falls asleep before the end of the 3rd and you have a guy wide open. You have to get the ball to your receiver for him to run under it or wait a half second for it. You cannot throw it at his knees he should not have had to attempt to make a diving catch there.

When we get to SEC play teams are going to stack the box as if we are in the the eye with 2 tight ends forcing us to beat them throwing down field.

Daniel’s is a qb that trusts his legs more than his arm. That’s how it is and has always been, he would be a top pick to run a triple option offense, and the fact that Kelly has been able to win pretty consistently with him up to this point is impressive. Moving forward coach should not be afraid to pull Daniel’s if he needs. The best coaches have done it and have succeeded.

Dabo pulling his starter for Lawrence and saban pulling his starter for hurts against Wisconsin season opener, and then the next year in the championship pulling hurts for Tua.

I have never been a fan of riding and dying with one qb. I think it’s fair for the competition to open up until one guy solidifies himself as the starter moving forward.

Daniels is afraid and for whatever reason lacks confidence. His hesitation is the difference in making plays a missing the opportunities. He was scared last year. Great athlete but missing the poise needed to be a good qb. He will look great next week but never will perform when it matters most. He is certainly not solely to blame but our QB, running backs, offensive line, secondary, amd coaching are below average. The expectations are too high for this team.

hesitation

Doesn’t this imply he’s making the read, getting through his progression, finding his preferred target, but just missing because his decisions translate into incomplete pass attempts?

Because none of that is happening.
