Too many chips trying to do too many things means a lot of things can go wrong. This calls for the KISS principle (keep it simple stupid).

Have a Kenmore High Capacity washer and dryer. Washer is a high tech "POS" that doesn't get clothes clean from work on a cattle ranch.
Most of the repairs I can do myself otherwise you have to call Sears repair and get bent over with high cost on service calls.
