That's why no one worth a damn doesn't run for anything, no one wants to deal with that shite.
School boards in La should do like they do in Texas. Don't pay them. Then you are more likely to get people who have no self interest and likely cares a little more.

Ours get $800/month. I’m not sure that really influences anyone.

Maybe so, I know that the Washington Parish school board approved raises for some of the people at the school board but nothing for anyone else, and that’s what got things going up here. A couple days last week we would get a message about contact your bus driver and breakfast and lunch would still be available, Friday morning at 6:02 the message pretty much said keep your kids at home.

This is the sad part. There are good people who could fix things, but it's virtually impossible in today's world. So everything just gets worse.
