1. ERCOT has issued conservation warnings repeatedly over for the past several weeks.
2. Per the San Antonio Express News, the warnings are mainly the results of failures at goal- and gas-fired plants.
But hey, never get let the facts get in the way of those anti-renewable energy arguments.

On Tuesday, outages at coal- and gas-fired power plants reduced supply for a second day after leaving slim margins to meet demand Tuesday evening. Wednesday is the second day in a row that ERCOT has asked Texans to reduce power use. It had issued conservation notices on four consecutive days ending Sunday due to record-breaking temperatures raising demand for energy.
But hey, never get let the facts get in the way of those anti-renewable energy arguments.

ERCOT themselves have mentioned the lack of generation of wind capabilities for the last week.
Are you actually telling people to trust the words of a third party, and not the actual source?

shite, I did my numbers even more wrong. Solar and wind were even worse than what I said.
NatGas is at >90% summer capacity, yet you’re trying to blame this blackout on that?
Wind and solar are less than 25% of summer capacity, well below max capacity. Why the hell do we want to put such a large % of our power generation into the hands of such unreliable sources again?
