Any chatter of an LSU meet up bar for Saturday evening and tailgate area for pre-game? Weather looks good for Saturday & Sunday. Geaux Tigers!

LSU get together Saturday night at a place called Tibbys. Supposedly a cajun restaurant.

Literally the only thing I’ve seen is Tibby’s on Saturday.

There’s been nothing I’ve seen discussing Sunday (which to me is the main event). Not a peep about a tailgate, a pregame spot, a bar meet-up…

I booked a table at Tibby’s. High top at 5:30. Table reservations seemed tight. They close at 9. Enough time to move on.

They will be open till midnight on Saturday. Dueling pianos 7 to 10 and a DJ from 10 to midnight.

There are not many options within walking distance of the stadium and they pack vehicles in so tight in the lots by the stadium that there really isn't room to tailgate. We are parking at a garage downtown and it doesn't open till 2 hours before kickoff. The alumni association is doing the Camping World Stadium tailgate from 4 to 7, which is what they did before the Citrus Bowl in January.

Check with the Orlando chapter of the Alumni Association. I'm sure they'll have things going for the game

If you have been paying attention you’d know that there are only three options.
1) the “VIP” tailgate at the stadium on game day. $$$
2) the LSU tailgate is at Tibbys on Saturday.
3) Wall St. event in downtown Orlando Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with music, etc. for a fee.

Orlando alumni group is not doing anything for game day. I checked a couple of weeks ago. Thats why I helped organize Tibbys for Saturday night so there would at least be one gathering of LSU fans this weekend. The LSU Alumni Association is doing the Camping World Tailgate at the stadium at 4. I don't live in the area so without the support of the local chapter I simply couldn't put anything together for game day.

If you're talking about Orlando they are not putting anything up

I heard we tried to get some things going, but they fell through. One option you might try. I have had great success with it for the last two bowl games. There is a micro brewery called Broken Strings on W. Church St. SMALL place, but good size lot and usually several food trucks. Easy walk to stadium. LSU Orlandeaux tailgated there for the Notre Dame game. Great luck parking behind on W. Jackson St. off Orange Blossom Trail (OBT). OBT offers a good / quick exit to the 408. Has worked in the past. Hope nothing has changed.

Broken Strings

The official View-in is a Teak Neighborhood Grill. It's quite a ways from the stadium, but some of the BEST BURGERS in Orlando. One of my favorite places to go.

You know nothing. We were actually discouraged from doing stuff because of the "official" tailgate by LSU Alumni at the stadium (run by Citrus Sports), and the weekend event on Wall Street.
BTW ...

When I was involved with the Dallas chapter and LSU would play at Jerry World, the national Alumni Chapter would host a large tailgate near the stadium and ask the local chapter to support it. They want to drive folks to their big event who are going to the game. We still had watch parties at the dedicated locations but we didn't do anything separate unless they asked
