When's the last time we lost a BR kid to the draft? I genuinely can't think of any since PM took over. I'm sure there's someone I'm missing.

If anyone is interested, ‘24 LSU JUCO commit Conner Ware and Pearl River face Gulf Coast State College tomorrow morning in the Panama City Beach College Baseball Classic.

This game is being streamed on Perfect Game right now if anyone is interested. It's in the top of the first with Pearl River batting. If Ware is pitching today, he hasn't gotten to the mound yet.

ETA: Ware is pitching today. Got touched up a little in the first. It's his first outing but his opponents have played a few games already. I didn't get to watch it too closely so I didn't see what his stuff looked like.

I guess you have to actually watch the stream to follow these games? It doesn’t appear as though there’s a game cast or box score unless you subscribe to Diamondkast…which is annoying.

Yea that 2009 class with Von Rosenberg and Colvin both signing the last week of the deadline destroyed Mainieri for a few years.

Project,

Switching topics for a second… with Tennessee’s small stadium, how hard are the tickets gonna be to get when LSU rolls into town? (I’m asking you because I seem to recall that you live there.)

I don’t live there, my wife went there. And through other ways I have a personal connection to their program. They’re doing some stadium expansion this offseason but it’s still going to be tough to get tickets. Their fan base is pretty rabid about baseball now and especially when they play LSU.

Ok, thanks. According to their ticket office, they don’t sell single tickets for SEC series and you have to buy them through a reseller via season ticket holders. They will be released on Feb. 6th to them. These might be the Taylor Swift level tickets of college baseball this season.

We went up during 2021, it wasn’t hard to get them back from the secondary market but it’s totally different now a days like he said.

I followed one of the games on Baseball Savant to see exit velos and what kind of pitching was happening since the games were at Minute Maid.

He was hitting the ball harder than anyone else in the game I was tracking.

If he keeps it up, he'll get pro looks.

I've been catching a few innings here and there of scrimmages around SE LA. It's incredible the kind of talent that stretches down the classes. Teams are playing underclassmen, even freshmen, that look like seniors. That's been more of a trend, but it seems to be noteworthy going into this season.

We're advancing quickly down here. Even some of the 24 guys in our class have made big jumps from last season. Schmidt and Mikey Ryan, I'm looking at you.

Jay will obviously continue to storm the national landscape, but I think our backyard will keep getting better and better. I've been studying the trend, somewhat anticipating it, but I'm feeling pretty good about it now.
