So true. Everything in the LP is run by a good ole boy network - even the school system.

Every once in awhile things need to change to shake things up good or bad.

Huge black spot to Ard is he had a deputy, who committed sex acts with minors that was convicted.

Huge disadvantage for the other guy is lack of advertising budget to get his platform out.

Another 4 years of the ard reign. But this is the closest anyone’s come.

So that’s it then? No recount or anything? Less than 120 votes difference.

Idk. I’m sure there will be a recount but they’ll find enough votes for ard for sure. Sadly only 41% of the parish voted.

I have good friends that voted for Ard because they’ve known him all their life.

It boggles my mind that they could support that piece of shite. But here we are.

Have you considered the fact they've known him all their lives and still vote for him which indicates he might NOT be a piece of shite...as opposed to people like yourself who haven't known him all your life and assume he is?

I would say your friends are being more reasonable.

That’s pretty high compared to other parishes today.

I grew up with all the Ards and I didn’t vote for either of them.

Well, Jason, when you run interference for your pedo buddy…piece of shite is the nicest thing I could come up with.

GFY.

I know multiple people that voted for Ard because he goes to their church. Several more that voted for him because they've known Willie Graves their whole life and Ard was Willie's guy.

A lot of ppl hate ard, but also didn’t believe mcmasters was the guy to take over. I know several ppl who voted for mcmasters but openly said they didn’t think he was right for the job, just ready for ard to go. I feel sorry for mcmasters future in walker and Livingston parish.

Jason Ard is precisely why we need term limits.

Don't feel like doing the math. But, how is this even a single precinct for like 40-ish people?

When you really get down to it you don't realize how many people are directly connected to the Sheriff's office and how many relatives the Sheriff has. Well over 100 that Ard won by.

Bingo. FWIW Ard had to know at least that Perkins was a swinger. No way you could keep that quiet in LP. Also, he knew of past discretions using LPSO paid for software to spy on his ex. Ard is OK but it's problematic when you overlook stuff like this.

Of course Ard knew Denny was a swinger. Watson has a huge swinger pop and lots of those in influential positions are a part of it.
