He's on Tigerdroppings venting about a topic. I doubt he sends "what you need?" to people.
"Sorry I missed your call. I'm available on X day if you'd like to schedule a time to chat. What should I come prepared to discuss?
Feel free to shoot me an email if the matter is more pressing."
There are some things that absolutely need to be a [scheduled] phone call because they are lengthy to discuss, but there's also some things that do not need to be an entire phone call wasting both people's time.
