houses/buildings in Flarda use lightweight concrete tiles in lighter colors. They do well and look nice, but look like shite after 5 yrs of dust, smog, mildew build up.

There’s nothing lightweight about them. They are denser than concrete block. The exposed tops of the tiles are painted in a variety of light and neutral colors. Tile roofs need to be pressure cleaned every few years but it leaves the roof looking brand new. Tile roofs reduce cooling costs.

I live in a neighborhood with these on every house. You just have to chemical pressure wash every 3-4 years, cost around $300 (bout tree fiddy for the OT). But apparently homeowners carriers are starting to frick with the reimbursement because they are expensive to replace.
