We are supposed to stay at a resort that did not have fire damage but is near the affected area. Its web site says they are closed right now and will have an update in September. We are supposed to go in late October. I am telling the wife we need to cut bait now.

I'd call them. Again, there was plenty of areas of Maui not affected here. Relatively speaking it was a small portion. So if no one visits the entire island will be affected.

I may be an idiot and they not want you. But generally speaking they are going to want to work to get back to life in 2 months.
