I work in EMS in Jackson. Currently looking at homes and even some “nicer” neighborhoods are not safe anymore. A guy was shot and killed less than a mile away from UMMC the other day. Broad daylight. Major intersection. I pass through it 1000 times a night while working. Lawlessness everywhere and our only hope is Capital Police.

Busy place.
There's been a shooting at UMMC in the last year or so, and a double shooting at Baptist a few years ago that killed 1 or 2 people.
