The old guy gave LSU one area of advantage: QB depth. The young guy gave LSU the edge at QB, LB and special teams. They didn’t know very much about our lineup. WR, DL and LB were extremely underrated by them. Especially linebacker. They are concerned about their LBs but still had us and them rated closely. Perkins and Speights will both be drafted high. They also completely ignored Wingo. I love listening to our opponents thoughts before the game.

They only talked about Malik and Taylor at WR/TE.

One thing I didn’t know was that they don’t have a warm up game before they play us. I thought this really helped them because we didn’t get going until the end of the 3rd quarter. I looking forward to seeing how our increased experience and added new pieces will change the game.

I’m gonna dive into them next week. Apparently they have some fricking horses at WR.

They have about 8-10 kids from LA. Several WRs led by Keon Coleman

They apparently think we have a lot of freshmen that we will be depending on. The old guy said that Verse had a great time against Campbell and would be looking forward to going against him again. Campbell has come a long way.

Right.. like we’re talking about the potential number 1 DE in his class vs. a true freshman in his first collegiate game ever.

Guess what so do we. I’d put our top 6 against anyone else’s In the country and don’t get me started on Oline LSU way ahead in that category

The big time TE transfer is still ineligible.

Them having extremely good WRs and and extremely good QB worries me with our secondary. I also think people are brushing over the fact that Perkins is making the transition to playing inside. He’ll end up being great there, but don’t be surprised if he makes some mistakes game 1.

I like listening to the other teams thoughts about the game too. But they probably think the same thing when they listen to an LSU podcast about the game.

I love listening to our opponent’s views, but this was bad in spots. It’s like they didn’t even try at times. OL/DL/LBs takes were shite.

Perkins is a phenom. We had Mike Jones and Penn and Weeks last year. Gimme Perkins vs anyone

There’s a reason he didn’t play much at the beginning of the year and didn’t play inside at all. It’s going to be an adjustment.

The young guy was really really accurate last year. He expected a very close game, but hoped the game before us would help and that we may need a game to two to adjust to new coaches and system

Perkins did play some at mlb last year. It will be more extensive this year. I like the move because teams won’t be able to scheme away from him. When he only played jack, teams could easily run the other way.

House did say he would move Perkins around depending on what teams are doing. Maybe versus passing teams he would rush from the edge.
