Disciplining kids over uniforms is pretty stupid. I remember it started my senior year and how overzealous the school was about it. Couldn't wait to be done with that idiocy.
It was a knee jerk reaction to Columbine under the guise of helping the poor kids. Everybody still knew who the poor kids were. I wore Tommy Hilfiger shorts and polos everyday.
They used to make us write the school code of conduct for getting caught with a shirt untucked and I used to pay a poor kid $5 a copy to write them for me so I kept a few on hand at all times.

Heck I like wearing uniforms in the plant. Don’t have to figure out what to wear every day. I would think it’s the same for kids.
