Everybody said you cant recruit like Saban for years until Kirby came along with multiple #1 classes BEFORE winning a title. Then you have Jimbo at A$M bringing in a #1 class. I’m sick of the excuses. LSU already has a leg up on all of these teams because of no in state competition. I’m tired of the “as long as we are top 10” crowd. LSU brand is gigantic. No excuses for anything less than a top 5 class every year.

Smart is Saban. He’s the only other person and is a clone. He also is in a state that has exploded with elite talent over the last 2 decades.

Fishers average recruiting class, per On3, is 8th excluding the outlier of 2022. They’re currently sitting 12th.

That’s what I said. We need enough high caliber players every year. Some years that will equate to a top 5 class, some years it will be 7th. I don’t particularly care what the number is, as long as the talent level and position needs are met.

Amen. There's no reason LSU shouldn't have a top 5 class every year. Anything less should be viewed as a failure. How can Kirby waltz into Georgia and land top class after top class but LSU which has been the better program for 20 years cant achieve that?
