It’s the saints so I’m not surprised

Not signing him isn't the problem. Saying that we signed him, when we actually didn't is the issue.

Yeah no idea how you get both players completely wrong. And by leaking it you almost guarantee they don’t sign now.

sounds like Hunted wanted to get his name back in the news cycle and get some of his other suitors to act with more urgency

maybe dalvin can come in for a visit soon too to drum up some interest for him

Cook and Zeke are both still floating out there. Not a great time to be a vet free agent rb

Diana Russini with ESPN is the guilty party on the false report of the signing.

How about this twist? RB Kareem Hunt was called by Indy before he even stepped foot on the field to work out for the Saints and was offered more money, per source.

He was advised to leave and head to Indy with the Colts for a visit.

Odd that both left without contracts. At this late stage of the offseason, it is a bit strange to bring a player in without knowing the situation and demands before they even come to visit.

Hunt felt that heat and decided he would sign after camp moved to San Diego next week

Zeke is actually a good receiver out of the backfield but no telling how much he wants.

Hunt continuing visits isn't the biggest surprise I guess. Sometimes it's not the best idea to just go for the first offer you get.

They offered him money and scheduled the workout. Colts called with more money as he was arriving

not that difficult

Me too. I don’t think there’s a role—or roster spot—for him here after AK gets back.

AK
Miller
Williams
Taysom

All those are better RBs than Hunt at this point. And we’ve got a lot invested in each. That 4th RB need to be a versatile special teams guy. That’s not Hunt. I’d take him while AK’s out, but I think he gets cut the day after our 3rd game. Assuming no injuries at the spot. (Knock on wood)
