It felt like I was reborn. When I woke up I felt high as a kite and couldn’t stop laughing because of how good it felt. No wonder why so many celebrities use this drug recreationally. I’m surprised how it hasn’t been added to the controlled substance list. The high it gives you when you wake up is just as strong as an opioid, if not stronger. You feel like gravity is weighing down on you by a million pounds. Highly recommend over twilight sedation
I had surgery a few weeks ago and woke up fighting the nurses. I don’t think I had the same high you did.

Bet $100 an anesthesiologist didn’t actually do your anesthesia. Probably a nurse anesthetist.

They’ve done medical studies and found that people who received propofol during minor non-surgical procedures reported higher feelings of euphoria compared to people who received propofol for surgical procedures.
“Propofol--induced euphoria is more common in patients undergoing short or painless surgeries, such as gastric or gastrointestinal endoscopy (3, 10–12).”

You didn’t have propofol… maybe as an adjunct. You had general anesthesia and were intubated. That’s the standard for surgery.
Propofol can be the primary for minor procedures.
