Trip in September to Chattanooga area and planning to play on the Monday we drive into the area. I am trying to decide between stopping at either Sweetens Cove or The McLemore. Both look good. Anyone have advice on which?

Play both or one on way there and other on way back.

Interested in hearing about the McLemore. The website sure makes it look like a great spot. Looks like they’re building a resort type hotel and second course to be completed in 2024. My wife and I have to go to ATL 2 or 3 times a year and are always looking for a spot to finish out the weekend when we’re done with that cesspool.

Isn't Sweetens Cove just nine holes? The Honor's Course is pretty good.

Yes. SC is 9 holes. Will be playing The Honors Course that Thursday, so this will be a warm-up round.

McLemore is head and shoulders above Sweetens, as far as pure golf goes. If you’re in to nostalgia, Sweetens is the way to go.

If you only get the time to play one or the other, go to McLemore. Hole 18 is incredible.

Both are fun but very different. If you are looking for a scenic and challenging track go Mclemore. Sweetens is fun but it is goofy golf. The greens are insane. Huge drops and slopes on every green. I will say there is no place like it. When they say there is no rules, they mean it. I would say do Mclemore bc the 18th alone is worth it.
Have fun
