In an unexpected turn of events..

LINK

Coach Brady is just a gamer who loves ball and coaching. It cant be a very lucrative gig.. They just hired Byron Starks from LSU Eunice as their new HC last week and Brady is going to be his assistant. They actually have very nice juco facilities their mens bball has pretty much always underachieved though.

As for Starks he sounds like the man for that job he went 89-33, 36-9 last year at LSUE after winning two state championships at Lafayette Christian HS.

I saw a video of Madison Prep and Scotlandville in that gym and there wasnt an empty seat in the house but BRCC prob couldnt even give tickets away with a big mac at the mcdonalds next door.

Jacques Doucet
@JacquesDoucet
Former
@LSUBasketball
head coach
@JohnBrady_Coach
is joining
@BRCCMensBBall
as a special assistant to the head coach, the newly hired Byron Starks. This will be very similar to being a football analyst. Brady will remain on the #LSU radio broadcasts with
@LSUTigersVoice
.

My wife and I know the Starks personally, my son played for him and then videoed games for LCA Basketball. When his youngest transferred to LSU, my wife was answering any questions his wife had about student life and needs at LSU (my two youngest graduated from LSU). I cannot say often enough that the Starks are fine people, as good as they get. Byron indeed does not curse but he is also basically a live and let live kind of person where other adults are concerned. If he feels the need, he will privately ask Brady to tone it down but it would have to get pretty bad I think and since it is effectively an analyst job, I suspect they won't be any need for that anyway.

Good information. Sounds like BRCC has their best coach ever already.

Something must have been discussed regarding bringing John Brady in a little over a week ago, BRCC scheduled this for October, which will be shortly before the season tips off I believe.

Don't know if that was mentioned here, but WBRZ reported that on July 24.

I can attest to this. I was “6th man” for a game (back when they did this) and sat behind the bench. John Brady does have a full arsenal of curse words and uses them freely. Did not hear one positive remark to his players.

That said, I really like his radio commentary during and after LSU games. And his teams did play very good defense.

Tim Floyd, Richard Williams, Kermit.

All that’s missing is Butch Pierre and that’s Brady’s crew

He wasn't at LSUE very long. Had all kinds of success at LCA, but I never heard a peep from LSUE when he went there. I mean, it's can't be easy to get basketball players to go to Eunice of all places. Especially since the purple peacock isn't around anymore.

He actually started that program, they did not have men's basketball there before he went there. He left because LSUE decided to eliminate basketball.
