Wardell Mack Hot/Cold?

The On3 Gator expert says in an article that LSU has been hot/cold with Wardell, opening the door for other schools. Any rumors as to if that is true and why maybe if it is? His recruitment does seem a little less prioritized from a layman but that could be cause he isn’t interested in us, just interesting.

Somebody needs to sit this young man down and show him the chart of LSU players drafted vs texass players drafted. Any DB from Louisiana choosing texass over LSU would be making a huge mistake.

I’m starting to think LSU wants him as a safety and that’s causing the issue. Shea and Billy have mentioned this several times.

I heard Jordy and the crew mention this morning that Mack’s recruitment is similar to that of Ja’marr Chase’s. It does feel similar in a lot of ways. We’ll see if this staff can close on him like they did with Chase in 2018.

Just that Chase was never really interested in LSU for most of his high school career. He was committed to Florida and Kansas before he committed to LSU. West Bank kid that eventually chose the good guys.

Need to convince his parents and NIL. That's the hold up. He likes LSU.

I can see the Chase similarities, but this feels a lot more like a repeat of Derek Williams from last year if you ask me. A Texas lean/commit who many people were really confident would end up being a tiger and it just never happened.

The reality is ,no matter the hyperbole or message board rumors, nothing that Mack has done, said or exhibited should give LSU any hope. Been that way all year. The only thing being grasped at is him being from LA and Frank Wilson's unwarranted reputation. Both those things have been true for almost 2 years now and it hasn't exactly yielded results on this front. What's supposed to change that gives anyone hope? There is no description other than blind faith to rationalize the thought process. Could it all be a ruse or could it all shift back? In recruiting, of course. Doesn't make it rational to expect it to happen.
